Prepare Mode vs. Support Mode

Styson48 is a planning and support platform with two different purposes. Prepare Mode helps you organize information ahead of time. Support Mode helps you find practical guidance and educational resources.

Prepare Mode: organize what matters to you

Use Prepare Mode to record wishes, priorities, essential information, funeral preferences and where important information is kept. You can start with a small detail instead of trying to complete everything at once.

  • What would you want the people close to you to know?
  • Which preferences would help them make sense of your wishes?
  • Where should they look for important information?

Support Mode: find guidance and resources

Support Mode provides practical guidance, educational material and grief/end-of-life support resources. You can explore public Support Resources without an account or an invitation. Support Resources are free and will remain free.

Public resources are not a person’s private plan

Reading a public resource does not connect you to another account or reveal anyone’s information. Access to information shared by a preparer is separate from browsing these educational pages. Being listed as a contact does not, by itself, make someone a legally appointed executor.

What neither mode does

Important documents are not uploaded or stored in Styson48. The platform does not provide legal, medical, clinical, mental-health, emergency or ongoing personal-care services. Recording wishes does not create a legally binding document or replace advice from an appropriate professional.

Which should you explore first?

If you are organizing your own information, begin with the family-information guide. If you are trying to understand what comes next after a death, begin with the first-48-hours guide. You do not need an account to read either one.

About access

Styson48 public beta is open. You can create an account to get started, or continue exploring public Support Resources without signing in. Support Resources are free and will remain free; this does not mean the entire platform is free.
